About

I am lucky and grateful to have enjoyed a life of creative making, which I see not as a luxury or special talent but as a basic human need and an innate capability that we all share.

That idea is what inspired me to start Makeville Studio 15 years ago and continues to fuel my passion for knowledge-sharing. I see it reflected back to me every day: give someone a set of tools, some space, a little knowledge and stand back as they go from “I can do this one thing” to “I can do anything.” It’s everyday magic.

The projects on this site are some of my own everyday magic. Things I’ve made on commission, other things I’ve made for myself, never really intending to share them, yet here they are.
