The client's challenge: to build a functional yet elegant storage piece that would fit well with their eclectic collection of existing furniture.With design elements from several historic periods, this sideboard achieves a happy stylistic medium.
Constructed entirely of solid poplar. The painted finish involved layering multiple colors and textural effects to create a subtle aged, antique appearance.
All visible hardware, hinges and pulls, are reproduction bronze. The drawers have hidden, self-closing mechanical slides for modern convenience.
